Forget the Switch: The PC is the best Nintendo console

I recently built a gaming PC, mostly so I could experiment with VR. I also have a bunch of consoles - a PS4, Xbox One and Wii U. They're great! But my favorite console is my other Nintendo device: my PC....My PC when paired with the Dolphin Wii Emulator and my 4K TV. I fired up Super Mario Galaxy 2 with an HD texture pack, and have since been playing Galaxy 2 in glorious 4K. It's downright amazing. Jaw dropping. Colorful, quick, nary a glitch. It feels like a whole new Nintendo experience. What is incredible to me is how much better this is than ANY Nintendo console out there, with the true power of the software unlocked for today's generation of TVs and visual expectations. I bout the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Wii U, and it's an incredible game. It does look pretty bleh on a 4K OLED TV much potential......if only we had an emulator for this as well. I can't wait to try the Twilight Princess, emulated in glorious HD 60fps.

So for now, while I dabble in some Zelda, I'm enjoying what feels like a brand new, future feeling Mario game rendered at 4K. I urge you to check it out.

    And you rip it yourself.
Technically under copyright, downloading a ROM file or any file that creates a duplicate is illegal. You can create a duplicate of your own stuff, you just cannot distribute it.
Downloading a copy from someone else creates a distribution.

This is great if visuals are the only thing you care about in gaming… I have a monster gaming rig, but the Switch is becoming my favorite way to play. It’s great especially for local multiplayer. No other console or PC does much with local multiplayer.

Fair, but I also have other consoles for that. And this also technically supports multiplayer I believe? I just don’t have access to switch games….which I’m ok with for now
