    Need Laptop for AutoCAD

    I want to get a laptop for working on the go. I have a desktop at home, but sometime I need to do some CAD work on the go. I want a laptop with SSD. $1200 max. Not too heavy. 15" size is perfect.

    If it’s just AutoCAD and not Revit, a Surface Book works very well. Fast HD, long battery life, decent sixth-gen core i5 processor, light weight, and depending on what you’re using CAD for, it’s dead simple to detach the screen and show clients/teachers what you’re working on.
    The only problem with that is that it starts at $1,499.

    If you can budget another $100, Lenovo has the Thinkpad P50s workstation for $1295 that would probably work perfectly for you. Not flashy, but built like a tank and meant for work.
